I wrote a poem as a child
That I felt so damn good about
That I forgot it when I grew up

Until the truth came back to me
As if I woke up from a dream
God, I was such a clever child
So sing it with me and please go wild

I don’t wanna live like a bee
She works her whole life
And then she dies, like the others
Can’t you see, I wanna be free

I see the world as children do
It’s magic everywhere I look
My childish poem holds the truth

Come out of your protective shell
It’s time to say it to yourself
And all who told you otherwise
